Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today virtually interacted with the participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme, appreciating their efforts towards the development of India’s border villages and reaffirming the Government’s commitment to building a strong, self-reliant, and inclusive nation.
The virtual interaction witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 5,000 MY Bharat volunteers across 245 districts of the country. In Chandigarh, around 30 participants, including MY Bharat volunteers, joined the live interaction from the Committee Room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Chandigarh.
The programme was attended by Shri Amandeep Singh Bhatti, PCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh; Shri Shivdhan Sharma, UT Director, MY Bharat; Shri Vinay Kumar, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Chandigarh; and Shri Mandeep, District Information Officer, Chandigarh. The dignitaries encouraged the youth to actively contribute towards nation-building and community development through meaningful participation in public initiatives.
During the interaction, the Hon’ble Prime Minister highlighted the transformative initiatives being undertaken for the holistic development of border villages under the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme. He emphasized the pivotal role of youth in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and urged young citizens to actively participate in developmental initiatives, innovation, and public service.
The interaction inspired the participating volunteers and further reinforced MY Bharat’s commitment to fostering youth leadership, civic engagement, and active participation in nation-building.
On the clarion call of the Hon’ble Prime Minister for “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat,” MY Bharat has also launched a Virtual Pledge on the MY Bharat Portal to encourage youth and citizens to join the nationwide movement against substance abuse. All citizens are requested to take the pledge and become ambassadors of a drug-free India. Participants can also download an e-Certificate upon successfully completing the pledge.
