(Justice News)
Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal on Sunday urged people to adopt the path and ideals of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji — who preached equality and universal brotherhood — to build a truly egalitarian society.
Speaking at the 10th Mukti Parv organised by the Srishtikarta Valmiki Educational Foundation at Dr Ambedkar Bhawan, Goyal, accompanied by MLA Madan Lal Bagga and religious preacher Sheetal Adivanshi, described Bhagwan Valmiki Ji as the world’s first poet (Adi Kavi). He highlighted how Valmiki Ji’s immortal epic, the Ramayana, conveys the timeless message of good triumphing over evil.
“The great epic has guided humanity for centuries, serving as a beacon for ethical and moral living,” Goyal said, adding that Bhagwan Valmiki Ji’s teachings place strong emphasis on social equality.
Praising the foundation’s efforts in hosting the grand event, the Minister stressed that education alone can bring prosperity and happiness to society. “It is our moral duty to heed Baba Saheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s message and ensure quality education for our children,” he added.
Religious preacher Sheetal Adivanshi delved into the historical significance of Mukti Parv, explaining its deep connection to Bhagwan Valmiki Ji’s philosophy. He noted that such initiatives not only spread the sage’s teachings for a harmonious society but also serve as a guiding light for youth, instilling ethical and moral values.
