Legal Training Workshop Organized at the Office of Controller of Communication Accounts, Punjab Telecom Circle, Chandigarh

A Legal Training Workshop on the topic “Legal Framework and Effective Management of Court Cases” was organized at the Office of Controller of Communication Accounts , Punjab Telecom Circle, Chandigarh, under the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications. The objective of the workshop was to enhance awareness among officers and officials regarding effective handling of legal matters, understanding of court procedures, timely compliance, and better management of legal issues in government offices.

The programme was inaugurated by Sh. Vijendra N. Tandon, Controller of Communication Accounts, Punjab. In his address, he emphasized the importance of timely and effective management of legal matters in government offices. He stressed the need for officers and officials to develop proper understanding, coordination, and awareness regarding court procedures and legal compliances. He also highlighted that such training programmes play an important role in enhancing efficiency and strengthening administrative functioning.

Advocate Sh. K.K. Thakur, Senior Panel Counsel for the Government of India, attended the workshop as the keynote speaker. During the session, he shared his vast experience of handling matters before the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Chandigarh and the Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court, and delivered detailed insights on various legal aspects.

In his lecture, he elaborated upon effective management of court cases, timely filing of replies, handling of contempt cases and writ petitions, proper maintenance of records, departmental coordination, and practical aspects of legal procedures. He also explained how efficient legal management can help reduce unnecessary litigation and administrative complications.

At the end of the programme, Sh. Rajiv Ranjan, Senior Accounts Officer, delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to Sh. Vijendra N. Tandon, CCA Punjab for his continuous support and visionary leadership in capacity building of the officers and staff. He also thanked Advocate Sh. K.K. Thakur and all participants and stated that the workshop proved to be highly informative and beneficial for all officers and officials.
