Ludhiana,
(Justice News)
The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) has initiated stringent legal action against defaulters under the provisions of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act (PAPR Act) in respect of those allottees who have failed to deposit outstanding dues against their residential and commercial plots/houses for a considerable period.
A spokesperson of GLADA stated that repeated notices and multiple opportunities were granted to such defaulters under Section 45 of the PAPR Act to clear their pending dues; however, despite due legal process and adequate opportunity, no compliance was made by them. Consequently, after completing the required legal formalities, the allotments of these defaulting allottees have been cancelled by GLADA.
It is further brought to notice that due to continued default, approximately Rs 150 crore of GLADA’s funds remain blocked, which has adversely affected and slowed down various developmental and infrastructure works, thereby hampering ongoing and proposed public welfare projects. He asked the remaining defaulting allottees to deposit their outstanding dues immediately, failing which strict action, including cancellation of allotment as per the terms and conditions of allotment and applicable legal provisions, shall be initiated.
All concerned defaulters must contact the Estate Office, GLADA, Ludhiana, for any clarification regarding their dues.
The Chief Administrator (CA), GLADA Sandeep Kumar further appealed to all allottees to ensure timely payment of their dues so that developmental works may continue uninterrupted and the public at large may benefit from improved civic infrastructure and amenities.
