Giving a major boost to quality road infrastructure, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi and Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar inaugurated road construction projects worth around Rs 1.58 crore in Field Ganj and surrounding areas of ward number 90 on Monday.
The roads leading to Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib, Gurdwara Shri Kalgidhar Singh Sabha and Bearing market near Jagraon Bridge would be reconstructed under these projects. High mast lights would also be installed at Field Ganj chowk and outside fire brigade headquarters near railway station.
MLA Bagga, MLA Prashar and Senior Deputy Mayor Prashar stated that working under the guidance of Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann, major projects are being taken up to develop quality road infrastructure across the city. They stated that the civic body officials have been directed to ensure that there should no compromise with the quality of the works and these projects should be completed before the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib.
President of Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib Management, Pritpal Singh Pali, who was present during the inauguration ceremony, appreciated the efforts put in by MLA Bagga, MLA Prashar and Senior Deputy Mayor Prashar for taking up road reconstruction projects which would also facilitate ‘Sangat’ during the commemoration of 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib.
MLA Bagga, MLA Prashar and Senior Deputy Mayor Prashar stated that the projects to reconstruct Books market road, Gujjarmal road and Kashmiri Gali would also be launched soon. Regular feedback is being taken from the residents and every effort is being made to facilitate the residents at large.
President, Jail road association Billa Kunj, Kewal Krishan, Parveen Pinka, Harjot Kalra, Rajnish Verma, Gurmeet Singh, Deepak Sharma Deepa, Nikhil Khurana, Jaspreet Singh, Harpreet Singh, Surinderpal Bajaj, Naveen Kumar, Inderjeet Singh, members of Bearing market association among others were present during the inauguration ceremony.
