MLAs and administration celebrate Van Mahotsav, plant saplings

The Members of Legislative Assembly along with administration officials from Ludhiana took part in a significant initiative to improve the green cover in the district and combat environmental pollution.

MLAs including Jagtar Singh Dyalpura, Gurpreet Bassi Gogi, Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Madan Lal Bagga, Ashok Parashar Pappi, Daljeet Singh Bhola Grewal, Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina, Jiwan Singh Sangowal, Hardeep Singh Mundian, and LIT Chairman Tarsem Singh Bhinder, along with others, celebrated Van Mahotsav by launching a unique plantation drive in their assembly segments.

Additionally, ADC Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, along with SDM Khanna Dr Baljinder Singh Dhillon and SDM Payal Kritika Goyal, planted saplings in Khanna and Payal respectively as part of the initiative.

The MLAs described the initiative as a ground-breaking effort to increase the green cover and emphasized that it is aligned with the commitment of the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to encourage tree plantation for a cleaner, greener, and pollution-free Punjab. They highlighted the importance of a clean and pollution-free environment for the well-being of the citizens, emphasizing that trees are the primary source of oxygen, which is essential for human life on earth.
