Punjab government approves Rs 10.64 crores for Sub-Tehsil Complex in Sahnewal

In a significant step towards strengthening administrative infrastructure and easing public services, Cabinet Minister and local MLA from Sahnewal Hardeep Singh Mundian, announced on Tuesday that the Punjab Government has accorded approval for the construction of a new Sub-Tehsil Complex at Sahnewal at an estimated cost of Rs 1064.09 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Hardeep Singh Mundian said that the construction of a modern Sub-Tehsil Complex will not only provide great relief and convenience to the general public of Sahnewal and surrounding areas but will also help in increasing government revenue through better and more efficient collection of various taxes and fees.  He added that the new complex will offer adequate and well-planned space for the official machinery, resulting in faster disposal of work, improved efficiency, and better delivery of public services. He also disclosed that residents will no longer need to travel long distances to Ludhiana for routine works such as revenue records, and other administrative services.
The Cabinet Minister further stated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is firmly committed to the development of rural and semi-urban areas, public welfare, and strengthening of administrative infrastructure across the state. He added that this project will give a major boost for Sahnewal constituency and will significantly enhance the ease of governance for the people.
