In a swift and high-impact operation, Ludhiana Police has successfully cracked FIR No. 05 dated 06.01.2026 under relevant sections of BNS and Arms Act, registered at PS Haibowal, pertaining to the brazen firing incident at the shutter of a readymade garments shop in Haibowal carried out by *gang members of Rohit Godara*.
Acting on credible intelligence, police teams moved with precision, laying a well-planned naka in the *Ladian–Jassian area* after receiving inputs about Three masked suspects on the move. The situation turned dramatic near Government School, Jassian, when the suspects attempted to break the naka and opened fire on the police party in a desperate bid to escape.
Showing exemplary courage and restraint, the police retaliated in self-defence, resulting in a brief encounter during which accused *Sumit Kumar and Sanju* sustained bullet injuries and were apprehended, while the remaining accused identified as *Sumit @ Altron @ Tunda* was overpowered and nabbed.
The Police found the accused in possession of *two .32 bore pistols* with magazines, *four live cartridges* and a black Splendor motorcycle without registration number, clearly revealing their criminal intent.
Further investigation is in progress, and Ludhiana Police reiterates its firm resolve to crush crime with an iron hand, sending out a loud and clear message: *Those who dare to fire will not escape the long arm of the law.*
