MANDATORY RTE REGISTRATION FOR PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN LUDHIANA

Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, Sh. Himanshu Jain has issued a formal order for all private unaided schools (excluding minority institutions) to strictly implement 25% seat reservation for weaker sections and disadvantaged groups under Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act.

       As per Directorate of School Education Memo No. E-/2025/20266372, all eligible schools must register on the official portal at https://rte.epunjabschool.gov.in by January 12, 2026.

     Schools must accurately furnish details including entry-level seats, tuition fees, and Recognition (COR) numbers. Per the Department of School Education Order No: E-861949/2025, schools are prohibited from charging any capitation or screening fees except transportation fee. For further detailed information and SOPs, schools must refer to the comprehensive order issued by the Department of School Education, Punjab. Non-compliance with the registration deadline or admission guidelines will result in strict penal action.
