The Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh Regional Office, will conduct a series of targeted awareness programmes on safe digital banking practices and grievance redressal for students across various schools in the tricity region. The programmes will be organised from December 15 to December 19, 2025 and will be conducted by RBI officials and cyber-security experts.
These sessions aim to equip young students with the knowledge and skills required to identify and prevent financial frauds, with special emphasis on cyber hygiene. Students will be sensitised about common online financial frauds, data breaches, privacy concerns, risks faced by Gen-Z users, methods adopted by cybercriminals, safeguards against digital frauds, and the Reserve Bank’s grievance redressal framework and customer protection measures.
The program has been conceptualized by RBI Chandigarh RO in the background of increasing threats, cyber-frauds and need for sensitizing young adults about safe cyber-conduct. The initiative will draw upon ‘RBI Kehta Hai… Jaankaar Baniye, Satark Rahiye’ campaign.
