Patriotic drive “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiated in Ludhiana Schools under patronage of MP Arora

Ludhiana, ( Gurvinder sidhu )To mark the upcoming 78th Independence Day of the Nation and to highlight the significance of Tricolour flag within the school children and faculty members and citizens of Ludhiana, a significant drive has been initiated under the patronage of MP (Rajya Sabha) from Ludhiana Sanjeev Arora on Tuesday.

The drive was launched in urban government schools by Former Additional Advocate General Punjab Harpreet Sandhu on behalf of MP Sanjeev Arora at Government Senior Secondary Smart School, PAU, Ludhiana today. The drive was also undertaken at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Cemetery Road, Ludhiana. Sandhu said the drive has been launched under the patronage of by MP Arora with an aim to imbibe the patriotic spirit and value of National Flag being symbol of freedom.

Today, the National Flags were distributed among the school children to encourage them to install the National flags in their respective homes making “Har Ghar Tiranga” drive dedicated to 78th Independence Day of the country. A pictorial teaser depicting “Har Ghar Tiranga” dedicated to 78th Independence Day, prepared by Sandhu who is Punjab’s eminent Nature Artist and Heritage Promoter, was also launched by the Principal of Government School, PAU Ludhiana in the presence of faculty members and students. Students of the school exhibited great enthusiasm holding the National Flag of India high and raised the patriotic slogans “Har Ghar Tiranga” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

In his address at both the schools, Sandhu read message of MP Arora that there is a need to inculcate spirit of patriotism among the youth especially school children. Further elaborating MP Arora’s message, Sandhu said the real tribute to freedom fighters of the Nation is to maintain unity and integrity of the country.

The students were apprised that `Har Ghar Tiranga’ drive was started in 2021 to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the India’s independence. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.

Meanwhile, Punjab’s eminent Economist and Former Chancellor Central University Punjab Padma Bhushan Dr. Sardara Singh Johl lead the patriotic drive “Har Ghar Tiranga” by holding Tricolour flag high and installing the National Flag at his residence here today.

The rural government schools will be covered under the drive tomorrow.
