The National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disability will be presented on December 3, 2024, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The awards will be given in various categories by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).
District Social Security Officer Varinder Singh Tiwana provided further details, stating that interested individuals should visit the official website www.depwd.gov.in and www.awards.gov.in to review the criteria, categories, and guidelines before applying for the award. Detailed information about the national awards, eligibility criteria, and the selection procedure can also be found on the website. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format in Hindi or English only. The application format is available on the website, and the deadline for submission is July 31.
