NHAI Successfully Completes Anti-Encroachment Drive on NH-44 and NH-444A

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), through its Project Implementation Unit (PIU), Ambala, under the Regional Office (RO), Chandigarh, successfully carried out a special anti-encroachment drive along National Highway-44 (NH-44) and National Highway-444A (NH-444A).

During the drive, approximately 55 unauthorised temporary structures falling within NHAI land and the Right of Way (ROW) of the said National Highways were successfully removed.

The initiative aimed at making the National Highways encroachment-free, ensuring smooth and safe movement of traffic, and enhancing convenience for road users.

NHAI will continue to undertake necessary measures to ensure that the Right of Way (ROW) of National Highways remains free from encroachments.
