Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Tuesday distributed cheques of Rs 5 lakh each to eight villages of the Sahnewal constituency including Majara, Kanech, Beerh Sahnewal, Sahnewal Khurd, Heera, Barwala, Bhairomuna and Katani Kalan for carrying out various development works.
Addressing the gathering, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said that the Punjab Government is fully committed to the all-round development of rural areas and every sincere effort is being made in this direction. He stated that the pace of development works in villages would remain unmatched and unprecedented.
The Cabinet Minister further said that clear directions have been issued to the concerned officials to immediately initiate development works at the ground level and ensure their completion within the stipulated timeline so that people can benefit from improved civic amenities at the earliest. He added that the Punjab Government is giving top priority to public welfare and strengthening rural infrastructure, adding that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring comprehensive development of villages across the constituency.
