MY Bharat Chandigarh, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, celebrated National Technology Day 2026 at Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 32, Chandigarh, with enthusiastic participation from around 60 students.
The programme was organised in association with MY Bharat affiliated organisations — Karuna Eco Companion Foundation and Global Youth Federation — with the theme “Youth Innovation for Viksit Bharat.”
Mrs. Sangeeta Chhabra, Principal, GMSSS Sector 32, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and encouraged students to actively explore emerging technologies and innovation-driven learning.
The event featured engaging and hands-on sessions by resource persons Mrs. Shikha, Mr. Rohit, and Mr. Naveen, who interacted with students on modern-day technologies with special emphasis on the practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in daily life. Students also participated enthusiastically in discussions and activities related to digital innovation, cyber awareness, and responsible technology usage.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest, highlighted the importance of technological awareness among youth. She stated that the vision of Viksit Bharat can only be achieved when the youth of the nation are equipped with modern technologies and digital skills. She further motivated students to focus not only on hard work but also on smart work by effectively using technology in education and everyday life.
The programme aimed to inspire young minds towards innovation, digital responsibility, and nation-building through technology. The event concluded with appreciation for all participating students, teachers, organisers, and partner organisations for making the celebration meaningful and impactful.
