The programme aims to strengthen international collaborations and build capacity in the rapidly evolving medical devices sector, particularly among countries of the Global South. The initiative will bring together 25 international participants, along with researchers, policymakers, clinicians, scientists, academicians, and industry experts, to deliberate on emerging technologies, regulatory frameworks, manufacturing practices, translational research, and innovation ecosystems in the field of medical devices.
The programme will be inaugurated by Prof. Dulal Panda, Director, NIPER Mohali, on 11th May 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Convention Centre, NIPER Mohali. Over the course of twelve days, the programme will feature expert lectures, hands-on training sessions, institutional visits, field exposure, and networking opportunities.

• Stem cell engineering and biomedical devices
• 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering
• Biosensors and pathogen detection technologies
• Sterilization and quality control of medical devices
• Robotic rehabilitation devices and biomechanics
• Orthopaedic innovations and biomedical photothermal applications
• Cancer sensing and imaging technologies
• Regulatory frameworks for medical devices in India and globally
• GMP-compliant facility operations and cleanroom practices
• Polymer materials and tissue construct devices
• Intellectual property rights and policy strategies in medical devices
Distinguished speakers from premier institutes and organizations across India will deliver expert sessions during the programme.
Participants will also undertake educational visits to advanced research and industrial facilities, including CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh, NABI Mohali, the Central Instrumentation Laboratory (CIL) at NIPER, and GMP-compliant cleanroom facilities at NIPER Mohali.
The programme reflects India’s commitment towards fostering innovation-driven healthcare technologies, strengthening international scientific cooperation, and promoting affordable and accessible medical device ecosystems across developing nations.
The valedictory function of the programme will be held on 22nd May 2026 at NIPER Mohali.
