Amrita Warring in Ludhiana: Congress Vows Unity, Industrial Growth, and Inclusive Development

Senior Congress leader Amrita Warring visited Ludhiana today, reaffirming the party’s commitment to strengthening grassroots ties and addressing Punjab’s most pressing challenges. In her interactions, Warring underscored the values of unity, transparency, and accountability in governance. She emphasized that the Congress Party stands firmly with farmers, industrial workers, and small business owners—the pillars of Ludhiana’s economy.

Drawing attention to the struggles of the textile and manufacturing sectors, Warring assured stakeholders that Congress will continue to push for policies that encourage sustainable growth, fair wages, and job creation. She highlighted the need for improved educational opportunities, skill development initiatives, and employment pathways. According to her, Ludhiana—Punjab’s industrial hub—has the potential to evolve into a center of innovation and entrepreneurship if provided with the right support.

In her remarks, Warring criticized the current government for failing to fulfill promises related to public welfare. She called for urgent measures to enhance road connectivity, ensure reliable electricity supply, and strengthen law and order. Reaffirming her dedication to amplifying the voices of Ludhiana’s citizens, Warring urged party workers to remain steadfast in their mission. She reminded them that the Congress Party’s vision is rooted in inclusivity, justice, and progress for all.

Later, Amrita Warring, along with former President of the District Urban Congress Committee and former Chairman of the Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Pawan Dewan, District Congress Committee (Urban) President Sanjay Talwar, former MLA Surinder Dawar and Inderjit Kapoor met the family of Hemant Sood and expressed deep condolences on the demise of his mother-in-law Renu Sood. She also shared grief with the brother of the late Baldev Sharma Modgil, Kewal Krishan Modgil, and other family members on his passing.

As a part of her visit, Amrita Warring also paid obeisance at Gurudwara Shri Dukh Nivaran Sahib and offered prayers for the welfare of all. Thereafter, she visited the ancient Gaushala near Division Number 3, where she performed ‘gau seva’ and reaffirmed the Congress Party’s commitment towards the development of gaushalas. On this occasion, Shyam Lal Sapra, Rinku Dutt, former MLA Surinder Dawar, among others, were also present.

During the visit, Amrita Warring also met the representatives of the Jewellers Association and assured them of the Congress Party’s full support in resolving their issues. Among those present were Anand Sikri, Manoj Dhanda, Dinesh Jain, Amit Mehra, Naveen Sareen, and Vineet Dhanda.
