In line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve to provide government jobs to the youth of the country, the 18th edition of the Prime Minister Rozgar Mela was organised at the national level today, January 24, 2026 (Saturday). On this occasion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, by pressing a remote button, distributed appointment letters to 61,656 selected candidates, including over 8,000 women, at 45 locations across the country for appointments in various government departments.
As part of this nationwide initiative, a programme was also organised at the Group Centre, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Kharkhoda (Khewra), Sonipat. On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Government of India, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar distributed appointment letters to 103 selected candidates appointed in various Central Government departments, particularly in the Central Armed Police Forces.
The live telecast of the programme was organised at the CRPF Group Centre, Kharkhoda. The Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar, attended the event as the Chief Guest and personally handed over the appointment letters to the selected youth.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has always laid emphasis on employment generation, innovation, use of technology and placing citizens at the centre of development. He stated that the appointment letter distribution programme in Sonipat is a concrete step towards achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has always laid emphasis on employment generation, innovation, use of technology and placing citizens at the centre of development. He stated that the appointment letter distribution programme in Sonipat is a concrete step towards achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat.
The Minister further informed that the newly appointed candidates are also being provided training through the “Karmayogi Prarambh” online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, which offers more than 1,588 e-learning courses. This training will enable the youth to effectively discharge their responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to the building of a developed India. He added that transparent, technology-based and fast recruitment processes are strengthening the participation of Young India in government services. Shri Gurjar congratulated all the newly appointed candidates and urged them to serve the nation with honesty, dedication and efficiency.
On this occasion, Deputy Inspector General of Police, CRPF Group Centre, Kharkhoda, Shri Ajit Sangwan welcomed the Union Minister and motivated the newly appointed youth. The programme was attended by Shri Amit Kumar, Commandant, 220 Battalion; Shri Daljit Singh Bhati, Second-in-Command; Shri Vedpal, Deputy Commandant, along with other senior officers. The Union Minister appreciated the CRPF Group Centre, Sonipat for the successful and grand organisation of the event.
