Punjab Cabinet Minister and Aam Aadmi Party President Mr. Aman Arora has said that “expansion of education is the main agenda of the Punjab Government, under which special attention is being given to making children employable by promoting skill development”.
Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of “Udham Singh Shaheed Skill Development and Entrepreneurship University Kapurthala” on the occasion of Shaheed Udham Singh’s birth anniversary near Nizampur village here today, Mr. Arora said that the true tribute to Shaheed Udham singh is to provide quality education to every child of the country.
He said that “ it is a matter of pride for Punjab that a world-class university is being started by the Kamboj community in the name of Shaheed Udham Singh, which will prepare children to face the challenges of the future.
He said that this skill university will start its courses from 31 July 2026, which will prove to be a guide for promoting skill development not only for Doaba but also for the entire Punjab and for establishing self-employment for the youth.
In response to a question, he said that skill development will play an important role in stopping the mass migration of students to foreign countries, for which the Punjab government will provide all possible support to this university.
He said that due to the efforts of the Punjab government, a conducive environment for education has been created in the state, for which the Punjab government has recruited 60 thousand employees without any recommendation.
On this occasion, he was also honored by the administrators. On this occasion, Goldy kamboj , Jamil-ul-Rehman, Rana Gurjit Singh all MLAs, Dr. Sandeep Kaura, Punjab State Backward Classes Commission Chairman Malkit Thind, Constituency Incharge Karambir Singh Chandi, Constituency Incharge Bholath Harsimran Singh Ghuman, AAP leaders Gurpal Singh Indian, Kanwar Iqbal Singh, Parminder Singh Dhot Additional Deputy Commissioner Navneet Kaur Bal, former Sessions Judge JS Marok, SP Gurpreet Singh and others were present.
