In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, Moga Police, during routine patrolling to check suspicious persons and vehicles in the jurisdiction of PS City Moga, received credible secret information regarding illegal drug smuggling activities. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, Moga Police apprehended an individual involved in narcotic smuggling. Upon thorough checking, 24,000 Tramadol Tablets were recovered from his Skoda Car. Further interrogation and investigation led to the recovery of an additional commercial quantity of narcotic pills and syrup from Godown.
While giving this information, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Ajay Gandhi said that
In this regard a case FIR No. 79 dated 19.04.2025,* u/s 22/61/85 NDPS Act, has been registered at PS City Moga against the
Vicky Arora @ Vijay Arora,* S/o Surinder Kumar, R/o Gali No. 12, Bhim Nagar, Moga () (arrested)
(perviously 1 case of commercial quantity registered)
Recovery:
1) Commercial quantity of total 2,80,800 Tramadol Tablets. (24000 tablet recovered in car )
2) 875900 Pragagamblin capsules 300 mg
3) 4500 bottels Codine 100 ml Syrup
4) 52,500/- Drug money
5) one skoda car
Total Value of Seizure:-
Rs 4,20,28,000/-
Forward and backward linkages of the supply chain are being thoroughly investigated to trace the entire network involved in this illegal trade. Further investigation is underway.
