Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond today instructed officials from various departments to accelerate the progress of ongoing development works in both urban and rural regions to ensure their completion within a designated timeframe, ensuring better facilities for the people.
During a review of projects status at the district administrative complex, the Cabinet Minister urged officials from the local bodies department to ensure that all projects under their jurisdiction are completed within the established time limits.
Accompanied by MLAs Ashok Parashar Pappi, Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal, Madan Lal Bagga, Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina, LIT Chairman Tarsem Singh Bhinder, District Planning Committee member Sharanpal Singh Makkar, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jitendra Jorwal, and MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal, Minister Sond emphasized that the Punjab Government is dedicated to the welfare of all segments of society, noting that numerous projects are being undertaken to achieve comprehensive development.
The Cabinet Minister instructed the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana to complete all development projects as soon as possible. He also asked that the PSPCL must establish ground-level teams to go into the field and promptly remove dangling wires in various areas of Ludhiana, including markets and other locations.
Additionally, the Minister provided directives to the water and sanitation wing (O and M cell) and the horticulture division of the Municipal Corporation to ensure proper cleanliness on the roads, cover all manholes to prevent accidents within two days, expedite the installation of new street lights, and maintain parks by deploying sufficient staff, among other tasks.
Notable individuals present during the meeting included ADCs Dr. Harjinder Singh Bedi and Amarjit Bains, MC Additional Commissioner Paramdeep Singh Khaira, MC Joint Commissioners Ankur Mohindroo, Abhishek Sharma, and Chetan Bunger, Assistant Commissioner Kritika Goyal, and others.
