Ludhiana ( Gurvinder sidhu) Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond inaugurated the 13th Inter-College Youth Festival at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University on Tuesday.
During the lamp-lighting ceremony, Sond addressed the students, encouraging them to set goals in life and work diligently toward achieving them. He emphasized that having a clear goal is essential and urged them to strive for success with confidence.
The Minister advised students to focus on reaching their objectives, acknowledging that this requires consistent effort. He noted that college is a critical time for personal development and shaping one’s future. As college students, they must navigate a competitive world and support each other in their pursuits.
Sond also highlighted the significance of art and culture in personal growth, stating that youth festivals offer valuable opportunities for young individuals to showcase their unique talents. He praised Punjabi youth for their hard work and determination, which has gained them recognition worldwide. Additionally, he encouraged students to actively participate in eradicating social evils and contributing to socio-economic development.
Reiterating the Punjab government’s commitment to the welfare of youth, Sond emphasized the importance of channelizing their energy in positive directions. He expressed his full support for the university’s future initiatives.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jatinder Pal Singh noted that the festival serves as a platform for students to display their enthusiasm, creativity, and skills.
