Ludhiana ( Gurvinder sidhu) During a recent visit to the Avon Cycles campus here, MP (Rajya Sabha) from Ludhiana Sanjeev Arora observed the deteriorating condition of the service road from Dhandhari Railway Station to Sherpur Chowk.
Recognising the challenges posed by the poor road conditions and waterlogging, especially the narrow underpass at Dhandari Bridge, Arora promptly contacted the Project Director of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Ludhiana to discuss the urgent need for repairs. The Project Director informed Arora that road repair and fresh drain installation are underway but have been delayed due to monsoon. However, he assured MP Arora that the work would be completed by December.
Arora also engaged with Municipal Commissioner, Ludhiana Sandeep Rishi, conveying the industrialists’ difficulties due to the current state of sewerage cleanliness. MC Commissioner expressed his commitment to addressing these concerns promptly.
Further, Arora has taken note of the traffic congestion caused by tractors and trolleys driving on the wrong side of the road. He has pledged to consult with top traffic police officials to enhance traffic management through the installation of cameras, deployment of traffic personnel, and enforcement of penalties to alleviate the traffic jams.
The meeting was attended by a cohort of distinguished industrialists, including Onkar Singh Pahwa, SS Bhogal, Harsimerjit Singh Lucky President Cycle Part Manufacturers, Sanjeev Pahwa from Ralson, Vaneet Sood of Centex, Manjinder S Sachdeva from Citizen Press, Rajinder Jindal from Jindal Fine Industries, Representatives from SPS Hospital, Rishi Pahwa, Mandeep Singh Pahwa, Dr. Deepak Jain, Aditya Munjal from Hero Cycles Limited, and other prominent figures from the industry. Their collective insights were instrumental in shaping the discourse on infrastructural development and traffic management in the region.
Arora’s initiative-taking approach and commitment to resolving all the issues reflect a dedicated effort towards improving the industrial landscape of Ludhiana. This visit underscores Arora’s dedication to improving the infrastructure and quality of life for the residents and businesses of Ludhiana.
