DLSA plants saplings in jail complex

District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ludhiana on Saturday launched a plantation drive in the central Jail campus.
District and Sessions Judge-cum-District Legal Service Authority head Harpreet Kaur Randhawa, Member Secretary Punjab State Legal Service Authority SAS Nagar Manjinder Singh were present during the drive.
Initiating the drive, they laid emphasis on the need for planting more saplings to enhance green cover around us. They added that we all must plant more saplings to keep our Earth green.
DLSA Secretary Harwinder Singh stressed the importance of plantation in the Ludhiana which is an industrial hub of the country.
Following this, Manjinder Singh, the Member Secretary of the Punjab State Legal Service Authority, made a visit to the jail to listen to the issues of the inmates.
CJM Ludhiana Radhika Puri, Balvir Singh, Deputy Superintendent Central Jail Ludhiana, Vijay Kumar, superintendent, Women Jail Ludhiana, Gurpreet Singh, Superintendent, Borstal Jail, Varinderjit Randhawa, Chief and Sandeep Sethi, Deputy Chief, besides several others were also present on the occasion.
