The district administration has started the special summary revision of the photo electoral rolls as directed by the Election Commission of India. This revision will take place using January 1, 2025 as the qualifying date.
Booth level officers will conduct door-to-door verification of the photo electoral rolls until September 20. Individuals who will turn 18 on January 1, 2025 can apply to have their names included in the electoral rolls. The names of deceased individuals will be removed from the rolls after thorough verification. Duplicate entries/shifted electors will also be removed, and corrections will be made in the rolls.
The integrated draft electoral rolls will be published on October 29, 2024. Claims and objections can be submitted until November 28, 2024 on the draft electoral rolls and the same will be disposed by December 24, 2024. The final version of the electoral rolls will be published on January 6, 2025.
Applications for the inclusion of names, deletions, and corrections can be submitted to the Booth Level Officers or Electoral Registration Officers concerned.
