On the occasion of 78th Independence Day celebrations, Cabinet Minister Balkar Singh on Thursday launched “Program Aarambh” to revolutionize early childhood education, by\u00a0 district administration in collaboration with Rocket Learning.<\/p>\n
Singh stated that the innovative initiative aimed at transforming early childhood education for children aged 3-6 years. The program Aarambh focuses on the holistic development of young children by engaging parents and caregivers in simple, play-based learning activities.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney mentioned that this initiative aligns with the National Education Policy 2020, Aadharshila and the state’s curriculum framework, recognizing the critical importance of early childhood education in brain development and cognitive growth. She highlighted that the program targets all pre-primary schools and co-located Anganwadis in Ludhiana district besides employing a hybrid approach combining in-person and digital interventions. It also focuses on cognitive, pre-literacy, pre-numeracy, social-emotional, and motor skill development<\/p>\n
Sawhney added that Rocket Learning, a social enterprise dedicated to foundational and early childhood education, brings its extensive experience for successful implementations across nine states in India, impacting over 2 million children in more than 100,000 Anganwadis and pre-primary schools.<\/p>\n
Deputy Commissioner stated that this groundbreaking initiative is a significant step towards ensuring an equal educational foundation for all children in Ludhiana district, setting them on a path to lifelong learning and success.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
