{"id":7934,"date":"2024-06-13T15:38:31","date_gmt":"2024-06-13T15:38:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/justicenews.in\/?p=7934"},"modified":"2024-06-13T15:38:31","modified_gmt":"2024-06-13T15:38:31","slug":"vigilance-bureau-nabs-asi-for-taking-rs-21000-bribe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/justicenews.in\/?p=7934","title":{"rendered":"Vigilance Bureau nabs ASI for taking Rs 21,000 bribe"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Chandigarh::::::::::::: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its drive against corruption in the state, on Thursday has apprehended an Assistant Sub Inspector of Police (ASI) Bhola Singh (No.27\/Sangrur), posted at police station City-1, Sangrur while accepting a bribe of Rs 21,000.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the state VB said the above mentioned accused has been arrested on a complaint lodged by Jagdeep Singh.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He further added that the complainant has approached the VB and informed that he got financed\u00a0 Rs. 5,50,000 from his friend on interest to Jagraj Singh in lieu of purchasing a Truck from the later. Afterwards, when the complainant asked Jagraj Singh to return his loan money, he came to know that the said truck had already been transferred by Jagraj Singh in the name of Baljit Singh, a resident of village Andheri in Sangrur. Subsequently, the new owner gave a police complaint in the said police station and ASI Bhola Singh demanded Rs. 50,000 as bribe to investigate the matter.
