An Atal Pension Yojana (APY) Outreach Programme was organised today in Chandigarh with the objective of promoting the scheme, enrolling eligible citizens, and enhancing awareness about pension-related social security.<\/p>\n
The programme witnessed active participation from the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), Punjab National Bank (PNB), State Level Bankers\u2019 Committees (SLBCs) of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, State Heads of various banks, branch heads, and Banking Correspondent (BC) agents.<\/p>\n
Shri Ram Kishore Meena, Deputy General Manager, SLBC Punjab, informed that the programme was attended by Shri Pravesh Kumar, Chief General Manager, PFRDA; Shri Ashish Chaturvedi, Chief General Manager, Punjab National Bank; Shri Sanjeev Kumar Jha, Circle Head, PNB Chandigarh; Shri Biswojit Biswal, Circle Head, PNB Mohali; and Shri Omkar Nath Jha, Deputy General Manager, SLBC Haryana, along with senior officials from the State Governments and NABARD.<\/p>\n
Under the Atal Pension Yojana, eligible citizens aged between 18 and 40 years can enrol in the scheme by making regular contributions to receive a guaranteed monthly pension ranging from \u20b91,000 to \u20b95,000 after attaining the age of 60 years, subject to the applicable scheme provisions.<\/p>\n
During the programme, Shri Pravesh Kumar, Chief General Manager, PFRDA, emphasised the need to enrol the maximum number of eligible citizens under APY, enhance awareness about the benefits of the scheme, and expand pension coverage through the banking network.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, Shri Ashish Chaturvedi, Chief General Manager, Punjab National Bank, highlighted the crucial role of bank officials, branch heads, and BC agents in disseminating information about the scheme at the grassroots level and connecting citizens with social security initiatives.<\/p>\n
In recognition of their commendable performance during the previous year, SLBC Punjab, SLBC Haryana, and various banks were also felicitated by PFRDA for their contributions towards promoting and implementing the Atal Pension Yojana.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
