{"id":24740,"date":"2026-02-12T21:26:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T15:56:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/justicenews.in\/?p=24740"},"modified":"2026-02-12T21:26:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-12T15:56:09","slug":"glada-cracks-down-allotments-cancelled-for-non-payment-of-dues-under-papr-act","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/justicenews.in\/?p=24740","title":{"rendered":"GLADA Cracks Down: Allotments cancelled for non-payment of dues Under PAPR Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ludhiana,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">(Justice News)<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) has initiated stringent legal action against defaulters under the provisions of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act (PAPR Act) in respect of those allottees who have failed to deposit outstanding dues against their residential and commercial plots\/houses for a considerable period.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">A spokesperson of GLADA stated that repeated notices and multiple opportunities were granted to such defaulters under Section 45 of the PAPR Act to clear their pending dues; however, despite due legal process and adequate opportunity, no compliance was made by them. Consequently, after completing the required legal formalities, the allotments of these defaulting allottees have been cancelled by GLADA.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It is further brought to notice that due to continued default, approximately Rs 150 crore of GLADA\u2019s funds remain blocked, which has adversely affected and slowed down various developmental and infrastructure works, thereby hampering ongoing and proposed public welfare projects.
