As per the directions of Hon\u2019ble Shri Gaurav Yadav, IPS, Director General
\nof Police, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Hon\u2019ble Shri Satinder Singh, IPS, DIG Ludhiana Range,
\nunder the supervision of Dr. Jyoti Yadav Bains, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Khanna, a
\nspecial campaign was launched to control anti-social elements. During this campaign, under the
\nleadership of Shri Pawanjit, PPS, SP (Investigation), Shri Mohit Kumar Singla, PPS, DSP
\n(Investigation), and Shri Tarlochan Singh, PPS, DSP (Samrala), and under the supervision of
\nSub-Inspector Pavittar Singh, Station House Officer, Samrala, the police party arrested two
\naccused in the above-mentioned case and recovered 400 grams of heroin from them.
\nOn 13.10.2025, while checking suspicious persons and vehicles during a
\nmobile checkpoint at Heedon Chowki, located on the Samrala\u2013Chandigarh road, the police
\nnoticed two individuals coming on foot from the direction of village Heedon carrying a cloth
\nbag. On seeing the police, both became nervous and threw the bag on the ground, attempting to
\nflee. The police party, acting swiftly, apprehended both suspects. Upon inquiry, they revealed
\ntheir names Amandeep Singh S\/o Satpal Singh R\/o Ward No. 02, Basti Awana, Ferozepur,
\nPolice Station City Ferozepur, District Ferozepur, Vansh S\/o Sukhwinder Singh R\/o No Rang
\nColony, PS Sadar Ferozepur, District Ferozepur. On searching the bag, 400 grams of heroin was
\nrecovered. Consequently, both accused were arrested, and FIR No. 280 dated 13.10.2025 under
\nSections 21\/61\/85 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Samrala.
\nDuring investigation, another person named Shivam, resident of Ferozepur,
\nwas found to be involved and has been nominated as an accused in the case. Efforts are ongoing
\nto trace and arrest him. Further investigation is in progress, and questioning of the arrested
\npersons is expected to reveal more crucial information.
