They confirmed that the water level has receded, and the situation in Ludhiana remains fully under control.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">During the visit, Cabinet Minister Mundian highlighted the severe impact of the Beas River on Sultanpur Lodhi and other parts of Punjab, causing significant damage. In Sasrali Colony here, the Sutlej River has affected some paddy and poplar trees&#8217;s fields. To address this, the Minister announced that a special girdawari has been ordered to assess the losses.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Minister further assured that as soon as the floodwaters recede, the special girdawari will be carried out within fixed timeline. He emphasized that the state government is making every possible effort to protect the lives and property of the people. He noted that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has assigned groups of ministers to effectively manage the situation and provide relief in the flood-affected areas.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;We are committed to compensating every farmer for their losses, and I pray to the Almighty for a swift return to normalcy across Punjab&#8221;, Mundian added.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain reiterated that the situation in Ludhiana is normal. He directed the irrigation department to immediately strengthen the Dhussi Bandh by installing stone studs, sandbags, and other preventive measures to enhance its resilience. He also urged residents not to believe in rumours, emphasizing that the administration is vigilant and the situation is under control.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">To streamline relief efforts, Jain noted that all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) in Ludhiana have been instructed to remain on the ground for real-time monitoring. Additionally, flood control rooms have been established across all sub-divisions, staffed adequately to respond to emergencies.
