{"id":15389,"date":"2025-04-26T19:54:11","date_gmt":"2025-04-26T14:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/justicenews.in\/?p=15389"},"modified":"2025-04-26T19:54:11","modified_gmt":"2025-04-26T14:24:11","slug":"dc-and-cp-review-prep-at-proposed-strong-room-and-counting-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/justicenews.in\/?p=15389","title":{"rendered":"DC and CP review prep at proposed strong room and counting centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ludhiana( Justice News)<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Deputy Commisioner-cum-District Election Officer Himanshu Jain and Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma on Friday visited the proposed strong room and counting centre for electronic voting machines (EVMs) at Khalsa College For Women, Ghumar Mandi ahead of the upcoming Ludhiana West by-poll to review the arrangements.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">They were accompanied by additional deputy commissioner (UD) RP Singh, who is also RO for the by-poll and others<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Both Jain and Sharma reiterated the district administration\u2019s unwavering commitment to conducting free and fair elections while issuing directions to the officers. They said fool-proof security arrangements would be made by the district administration at the venues during the polling and counting processes.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cThe guidelines of ECI will be followed in letter and spirit for the strong rooms and counting centres,\u201d they said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Both the officers also emphasised that the district administration would put in place an elaborate system of security measures and procedural checks aimed at ensuring fool-proof security of the strong rooms\/counting centres.
