In consonance with the firm commitment of the Punjab government to\u00a0procure\u00a0every single grain of wheat to facilitate the farmers, the district administration\u00a0is geared up for the smooth\u00a0procurement\u00a0of wheat in the district.<\/p>\n
During the meeting held at the Bachat Bhawan, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain stated that 8,29,755 metric tons wheat is expected to arrival in the 108 grain markets in Ludhiana adding that the state government will procure every grain of the produce because it is the fruit of six months of hard work of the farmers. \u201cThe Administration has made all out arrangements for the smooth and uninterrupted procurement of wheat in all the grain markets.<\/p>\n
Jain added that there is sufficient availability of gunny bags besides proper arrangements for lifting and payments are already made in\u00a0all\u00a0the purchase centers where farmers will get the payment of their produce within stipulated time-frame. He also mentioned that the district administration will ensure the harvest of farmers is lifted from the grain markets promptly adding that farmers will not be allowed to face any sort of problem while selling their produce.<\/p>\n
