Ludhiana (\u00a0 Justice News) Residents of Country Homes are elated as the long-awaited repair of the road from South City Canal to Singhpura Village has finally been completed. The repair work was undertaken following an initiative by MP (Rajya Sabha) and AAP candidate from Ludhiana (West) assembly constituency, Sanjeev Arora, who responded promptly to the residents’ concerns.<\/p>\n
For several months, the road had been in a dire state, riddled with potholes and uneven surfaces, causing immense inconvenience to commuters. The deteriorated condition made it particularly challenging for motorists and pedestrians to navigate, especially during the rainy season, when waterlogged potholes made the stretch almost impassable.<\/p>\n
Residents had voiced their concerns about the road’s poor condition, as it posed a safety hazard and led to frequent accidents. Acknowledging their grievances, MP Arora swiftly allocated funds from his discretionary quota (MPLAD Funds) to ensure the road\u2019s repair. The initiative has been met with widespread appreciation from the local community.<\/p>\n
Wing Commander (Retd.) J.S. Sandhu, President of the Country Homes Society, expressed his gratitude, stating, \u201cWe are thankful to MP Sanjeev Arora for addressing our concerns without delay. The road had become an accident-prone zone, and now, with its repair, commuting has become much safer and more convenient.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dr. Vivek Saggar, a well-known dentist and resident of the area, also commended the swift action taken by MP Arora. He said, \u201cWe are truly grateful for the prompt repair of the road. It was in an extremely poor state, making it hazardous for daily commuters, especially during the monsoons.\u201d<\/p>\n
Arisudana Industries Ltd Chairman & MD, Gagan Khanna, also acknowledged MP Sanjeev Arora\u2019s efforts in ensuring the road\u2019s repair. He emphasised that this route is vital not only for residents and businesses but also for the Singhpura Government Primary Smart School, which had been affected by the road\u2019s poor condition.<\/p>\n
